ANALYZING METHOD USING LIGHT GALVANIC EFFECT |

PURPOSE:To detect a light galvanic effect signal with a high S/N by setting up a microwave resonance mode of a cavity resonator to TE112, TM020 or TE111 in an analyzing method using a light galvanic effect utilizing the cavity resonator. CONSTITUTION:A microwave generated by a microwave oscillator 1 is guided to a directivity coupler 2 and led into a cylindrical microwave resonator 4 through a circulator 3. The resonator 4 is connected to the circulator 3 through a waveguide 17 and a variable diaphragm 5 is formed. Only a light galvanic effect (LEI) signal is extracted from the output of a balanced mixer 6 by a differential amplifier 8. A micro measuring sample and a burning flame are led into a quartz tube 11 inserted into a hole penetrated into the center part of the resonator 4. Laser light 18 radiated from a continuous oscillation laser 13 is modulated by a chopper 14 and irradiated to the burning flame. A processing signal of a high S/N can be extracted from a lock-in amplifier 15 by using the TE112, TM020 or TE111 as the microwave resonance mode of the resonator 4. |
