摘要 PURPOSE:To make possible the assurance of the quality of a strip, the stabilization of the operation and the reduction of fuel consumption by changing the speed and outputting the set value of a fuel flow rate in accordance with the sheet temp. model which expresses dynamically the relations between the temp. of the strip in the outlet of a furnace and the furnace temp., fuel flow rate, strip thickness, strip width and speed. CONSTITUTION:The strip temp. control model which expresses dynamically the relations between the temp. of the strip in the outlet of the furnace and the furnace temp., fuel flow rate, strip thickness, strip width and traveling speed is set. The optimum transition locus of the strip temp., the change rate of the traveling speed and the optimum timing for starting the speed change are preliminarily determined in the stage of changing the strip thickness, strip width or strip temp. reference for future. The strip temp. up to N steps forward is predicted at all times by using such strip temp. control model and the fuel flow rate is occasionally and momentarily calculated and controlled so that the predicted value conforms to the theoretical optimum transition locus.
