PURPOSE:To manufacture a thick sponge rubber molded product in such a manner that its complicated shape may be easily molded at low cast, while enabling the ideal thick sponge rubber molded product to be made by molding two-layered structure composed of outer skin members and a core member, inserting the core member with suitable thickness such as urethane, etc. between a pair of outer skin members of vulcanized sponge rubber. CONSTITUTION:Only the outer skin members 3, 4 of unvulcanized sponge rubber are once charged between a concave mold 1 and a convex mold 2 positioned opposite mutually. Then, a vulcanizing process is carried out such that the outer skin members 3, 4 made of vulcanized sponge rubber with a pair of U-shape sections as molded by heating. Each outer skin members 3, 4 is taken out from each mold 1, 2, and their defurring processes are carried out. Then, a core member charging process is performed such that the core member 5 such as urethane with suitable thickness is inserted between each outer skin members 3, 4. Finally, an adhering process is carried out such that the connecting surface of each outer skin member 3, 4, is stuck with an adhesive. The complete sponge rubber molded product with thick dimension molded into two layer structure composed of outer skin members 3, 4 and a core member 5 is obtained. |
