PURPOSE:To increase the degree of freedom of piping a branch pipe of a side branch type silencer by making the whole length of said pipe of a flexible pipe. CONSTITUTION:An intake pipe 2 consists of a first path pipe 5 having an intake port 4 on one end and a second path pipe 6 connected on one end to the other end of the first path pipe while connected on the other end to an air cleaner. To reduce sounds generated by the emission of stationary wave from an intake port 4 due to the resonance of wave of condensation and rarefaction generated in a combustion chamber of an engine body, a flexible branch pipe 12 is con nected to the lower portion of the first path pipe 5, and a resonator chamber 11 to the lower portion of the second path pipe 6. |
