<p>PURPOSE:To obtain an ink composition containing a foaming agent which is suitable for porous printing capable of providing a precise print free from feathering and flowing, by mixing a printing ink with a microcapsule containing a foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:An ink composition comprising a mixture of a printing ink with a foaming agent-containing microcapsule having an average particle diame ter of 35mu or smaller. The above microcapsule comprises a thermoplastic resin and, enclosed therein, a foaming agent such as a liquid foaming agent, e.g. butane, and a heat-decomposable chemical agent, e.g., sodium hydrogencarbonate. The average particle diameter of the microcapsule is preferably 25mu or smaller, more preferably 15mu or smaller. The content of the microcapsule having an average particle diameter of 35mu or smaller in the ink composition is 3-35wt%. It is preferred that the ink composition contains a drying retarder in an amount of 1-30wt%.</p> |
