PURPOSE:To make high accuracy adjustment in squareness of the light beams with a simple combination of the parts by arranging an adjusting screw between a fitting piece and an elastic sheet which are engaged with the screw. CONSTITUTION:The fitting piece 112 extending from an information reader body 100, a holder 115 located above the fitting piece 112 and a leaf spring 117 secured on the holder 115 have holes aligned in the vertical direction for inserting a bolt. Especially, the hole of the leaf spring 117 is threaded. An adjusting bolt 119 is inserted from below the fitting piece 112 in the said holes, and is engages with the threaded hole of the leaf spring 117. Thus, squareness of the light beam 4 with a discoid record carrier 6 can be adjusted with a high accuracy easily by means of a simple mechanism capable of restricting the position within the adjustment range.
