PURPOSE:To change over rapidly and smoothly the using condition by interlocking to the returning acting toward the waiting position of the scanning mirror and providing a change-over mechanism to shift the change-over mirror to the reader position. CONSTITUTION:For a scanning mirror 15, a preliminary scanning action is executed form the waiting position to a scanning starting position by a printing mode setting operation, and the returning action is executed from a usual scanning action scope to the waiting position by the operation of the reader mode setting and the printing completing signal. The change-over mechanism composed of these cam 41 and cam follower 42 interlocks to the preliminary scanning action of the scanning mirror 15, changes over a change-over mirror 13 from the using condition position of a reader optical system 9 to the using condition position of a printer optical system 11, interlocks to the double acting of the scanning mirror 15, can change over the change-over mirror 13 from the using condition position of the printer optical system 11 to the using condition of the reader optical system 9.
