PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture bags in an optimum bag series, by adjusting the speed of a stacker belt while the feed condition of bags are observed, while by changing the timing so that a slow-down device grips a bag at a predetermined position thereon. CONSTITUTION:The feed amount and timing of bags 1a fed from a sealer and a sealing roller 3 vary due to an increase or decrease in the sealing time of the bags and so forth, caused by the change of the length of the gas to be sealed and the change of the thickness of a sealing film, and further, the speed of stacker belts 10, 11 are suitably increased and decreased by a motor 17 in order to space the bags 1a... fed thereby apart from each other by a suitably distance. Accordingly, the speed of the bags 1a is changed so that the flying speed thereof in the air is also changed, and therefore, the position on the bag at which pawls 32, 33 grips the bag 1a is shifted. Therefore, a phase rotary shaft is rotated while observing the gripping condition of the pawls. With this arrangement, the phase of a phase adjusting device 38 is changed to adjust the bag gripping position of the pawls 32, 33.
