PURPOSE:To enable the content of a processor part to be saved at high speed to a memory part at the time of saving from the environment by providing in a memory device a group of registers having the same content as a register group provided in the processor part. CONSTITUTION:As a processing before saving from the environment, data are written transiently in a register file 14 while simultaneously the same content is written through a data line 31 in the corresponding register position of a copy register file 15 of the memory device 11. The processor part 12 then starts the operation of saving from environment. On reception of a register copy command transmitted from the processor 12, a memory control part 17 of the memory device starts the processing of saving to the memory part 13. The destination for transmitted data is changed to the register file 14 and a copy register file 15 is utilized for transmission to the memory part 13 through a data line 33. During the time that the saving to environment is effected in the manner described above, the processor part 12 is in a position to perform interpretation of instruction and operational processing.
