Rotary valve for connecting, in a Y shape, two tubular ducts 4, 5 especially in an inlet or exhaust device of an internal combustion engine, suitable for connecting a median segment 8 of the connection alternately to one or other of the two inclined segments 9, 10 of the ducts 4, 5, characterised in that the two inclined segments 9, 10, being symmetrical relative to an axial plane P-P of the median segment 8, the valve comprises a tubular body 11 substantially of the same internal cross-section as the two ducts 4, 5 comprising a cylindrical portion 12 fitted rotationally into the median segment 8 and a curved portion 13 extending over the entire length of the junction zone of the two inclined segments 9, 10 and equipped with a side opening 15 suitable for emerging alternately into one or other of these two segments 9, 10, the valve comprising means 23, 25 for driving said tubular body 11 rotationally about the axis of the median segment 8.
