PURPOSE:To provide an antiallergic agent containing a deazapyrimidine derivative. CONSTITUTION:The objective antiallergic agent is produced by using a deazapyrimidine derivative (e.g. sangivamycin, toyocamycin, tubercidin, its aglicone or a compound obtained by adding phenyl group. cyclohexane, etc. to the 7-N of the above antibiotics) as an active component. The present agent has been prepared based on the newly found facts that the pyrimidine derivative toyocamycin and its derivative are effective to the prevention and remedy for the immediate allergic diseases such as bronchial asthma because the compound suppresses specifically the I-type allergic reaction with IgE and relaxes the bronchial smooth muscle, and that the above active component remarkably suppresses the immediate allergic reaction in vitro and in vivo.
