PURPOSE:A seed disinfectant that contains, as active ingredients, dichlofluanid and bis(dimethylthiocarbamoyl)disulfide, thus showing outstanding effect against rice plant BAKANAE-causative microorganism which is difficult to control, because strains resistant to chemicals have appeared, further against rice plant Helminthosporium leaf spot. CONSTITUTION:The objective seed disinfectant contains, as active ingredients, the compound of formula I (dichlofluanid) and the compound of formula II (TMTD). The disinfectant is effective in a variety of crops such as rice plant, cereals and vegetables, especially in rice plant seeds and manifests synergism to completely control rice plant BAKANAE disease-causative microorganism both resistant and sensitive to benomyl and thiofanate methyl, further to seeds infected with Helminthosporium fungus. The ratio of these active ingredients may be varied according to application conditions, however, it is preferred that 0.5-3.0pts.wt. of TMTD is used per 1pt.wt. of dichlofluanid.
