The present invention relates to a device for cutting a plastic wrapping film on a package for the purpose of carrying out a subsequent operation. The device according to the invention is essentially characterised in that it includes at least one cutting means 4 intended to come into contact with the plastic film of the package and against at least one face of one element of the said package to make the said face entirely or partly accessible, and at least one means for removing that part of the plastic film which has been cut by the cutting means 4. <IMAGE>
