Coating composition made up of, on the one hand, copolymer of alkyd resin and vinyl monomers and, on the other hand, pigments and adjuvants, and exhibiting the characteristic of being capable of being applied to materials at temperatures of 950 DEG C. The invention provides, for example, progress in the identifying and marking of metallurgical and steel or iron products at high temperatures.
