The subject of the present invention is a device for acoustic vehicle diagnostics comprising at least one microphone placed next to the source of the sound which is characteristic of the functioning to be studied, followed by at least one preamplifier. It is characterised in that the microphones and preamplifiers are followed by filters selecting the frequencies to be studied, at least one trigger and/or "trigger" type shaping circuit and a computer for processing the data thus collected.
