PURPOSE:To constitute a titled radio receiver so that the fault of a part of keys exerts no influence on the operation of other key, by providing effective/ ineffective flags corresponding to each switch, in the RAM of a control use microcomputer, and making a switch being in an on-state continuously exceeding a prescribed time, ineffective on a flag. CONSTITUTION:A key effective decision processing decides whether the key concerned is effective (1) or ineffective (0) by referring to the RAM area 122 of a controller 12, and if it is ineffective (0), the processing proceeds to the next key effective decision processing without deciding whether its key is on or off. If said key is effective (1), the processing proceeds to the processing for deciding whether its key is on or off. If it is on, an on-time check is executed after executing a prescribed channel selection processing, and when it exceeds a prescribed value, the corresponding flag of the second area 122 is inverted to ineffective (0) from effective (1). In such a manner, the key to which '0' is set on the RAM area 122 is treated as ineffective on a program thereafter, therefore, even if the key is turned on continuously mechanically due to a fault at the side of a key matrix 14, its key is disregarded, and the operation of other key can be executed.
