PURPOSE:To form a fluorescent lamp such that the glass tube in the furnace will never soften even upon malfunction of the following process to burning process, by providing the buffering function to the conveyor communicating between the burning process and the following process. CONSTITUTION:A buffering mechanism 6 is provided to a conveyor 5 communicating between the burning process and the sealing process, to take out the glass tube 4 to be fed from the burning process temporarily to the buffering mechanism 6. Here, the capacity of the buffering mechanism 6 is made larger than the number of glass tubes 3 in the burning furnace. When stopping the sealing process, the glass tube flow switching apparatus 7 is switched automatically or manually to the buffering mechanism 6 side to take out the glass tube 4 automatically to the underside of the conveyor 5 then to a flow table 6 as shown by dotted line. Consequently, even upon malfunction of the following process to the burning process, the buffering mechanism arranged in the conveyor communicating between the processes will prevent stoppage of burning process thus to prevent softening of glass tube.
