PURPOSE:To prevent a track from producing an unrecorded portion or from recording dually even when its display is read and is concatenated by correcting the display by means of returning the counter dial in the reverse direction or advancing its dial in the forward direction so that a counter angle will be doubled integrally as many as a specified angle. CONSTITUTION:The counter angle of the counter dial 19 is read by mechanical means. In other words, pulses are fed to a stepping motor 38 one by one and make a counter fitting drum 89 and a bite pin 90 rotate counterclockwise step by step. When a state where a concave part 93 of the counter fitting drum 89 laps over a concave part 22 of the counter dial 19 and the bite pin 90 is raised to bite to the counter dial 19 is detected by a counter fitting detecting switch 94, pulse generations are suspended and a number of steps 'n' calculated so far (its number is the same as that of pulse) is regarded as the counter angles of counter dial 19. Thus if the step number which is read mechanically 'n' is not a partition number 'm'; that is an integral multiple of 20, the counter dial 19 is reverted or advanced.
