PURPOSE:To obtain a correct learning candidate by rearranging the disposition of a dictionary upon selection of the word, and modifying the address information in a homophone buffer to show the original word. CONSTITUTION:The appellation row inputted from an input device is converted by dictionary retrieval by a changing device into a word representation. The degree of priority is affixed in accordance with the physical sequence in the dictionary so that conversion candidate, priority and address information are registered on the homophone buffer. The content of the homophone buffer is displayed by a display device and, as the next candidate indicating device, the next lower priority candidate in the homophone buffer is displayed by the display device. When the selection is indicated by the selection device, the candidate in the presently displayed homophone buffer is decided and selected while the sequence of the words in the dictionary is updated. Dictionary, the address information in the homophone buffer that requires correction in accodance with the updating of the word in order on the dictionary.
