Clock with display by a rotating vernier

An application is made for a clock in which the minutes hand is replaced by the rapidly rotating geometrical interference fringe (Moiree fringe) of a suitable rotating vernier disk (e.g. in a 12-part arrangement in front of a fixed disk of 11 parts). As a result, a high resolution is achieved without the application of gears even in the case of measuring scales in which only small forces are present (for example compass).
