A loop transmission system used, for example, for management and control of a train service includes duplicated loop transmission lines (1, 2) for redundancy. Corresponding line portions of the two loop transmission lines (1, 2) respectively on both sides of pairs of transmission units (11a, 13a; 12a, 14a) which are associated with a control unit (4a) are connected to each other by connection lines (15, 16) via two pairs of compensation transmission units (15m, 15n; 16m, 16n) at both ends of the connection lines. When a failure occurs on any one of the two loop transmission lines, the connection lines (15, 16) serve to form an alternative path for transmitting information without substantially increasing the length of transmission path and without causing transmission delay. |
