Bottle distributing station for reshaping a single-track stream of bottles into a broad stream of bottles, having a feeding conveyor for the single-track stream of bottles which is fed from a treatment machine; a discharging conveyor which discharges the broad stream of bottles and circulates at a considerably lower speed than the feeding conveyor; a conveying section which is arranged between the feeding and discharging conveyors and has a plurality of intermediate belts which circulate at gradated speeds; and a guiding means which guides the stream of bottles from the feeding conveyor via the conveying section to the discharging conveyor and consists of two guide rails, between which a passage which becomes wider in the conveying direction is formed and the conveying speed of the discharging conveyor can be controlled by means of a controller in dependence on the capacity of the treatment machine and/or the position of the point at which the single-track stream of bottles is expanded, so that the conveying region which extends from the discharging conveyor via the passage to the expansion point on the feeding conveyor is constantly, i.e. under all operating conditions, filled with bottles.
