Handle for a squash racket or the like made up of several components which are easily taken apart or assembled. One part of the handle shaft (2) of the sports racket (1) which determines its diameter, consists of two half shells (3), around which are wrapped rubber rings (6) at regular intervals. The handle is enveloped in a leather cover (7). This arrangement is thrust over the handle shaft (2) and secured in place by a cap (9) at the end. By changing the half shells it is possible to obtain any desired handle size for the sports racket (1). In addition, the leather handle cover can be quickly and easily replaced.
