The invention relates to a device for causing temporary infertility in men. The invention is based on the object of creating a method which causes denaturation of the fertile sperm without having any disadvantageous biological side effects. According to the invention, this object is achieved in that a fabric part having a textile character is to be wrapped round so as to enclose the scrotum wholly or partially, so that a temperature increase inside the scrotum by at least 6 DEG C during a time interval of 1 h to 1.5 h wearing time is guaranteed.
