Arranged on the upper part of a boiler-shaped accumulator are a number of solidly connected plate supports which conduct heat well and on which cooking plates with heat control are mounted. Plate support and cooking plate have in each case three matching inclined surfaces which are arranged concentrically. By turning the cooking plate, the contact surface can be decreased or increased during cooking, as a result of which any adapted heat control is made possible. The cooking plates are provided with a removable insulating covering. The accumulator can be filled with water or thermal oil. The cooker is installed in a cooking room higher than the solar collectors so that the forward and return run pipe run upwards at an angle to the cooker. As a result, the heat transfer medium heated in the absorber pipe can circulate of itself and heat the accumulator up to 200 DEG C. At any time of day, any foods can be prepared simultaneously on all plates. This cooker can be used particularly suitably in desert regions with a lot of sun and little wood for burning.
