The application relates to a measuring device for determining the temporal pressure variation in cylinders of internal combustion engines. For this purpose, an acceleration pick-up is mounted on each of the cylinders. The signal is then used in the evaluation device by means of a model, realized using electronic means, of the elasticities, attenuations and masses, for the purpose of determining the temporal pressure variation in the cylinder.
