摘要 PURPOSE:To improve an N removal rate by detecting DO in the lowermost stream area of an aeration tank, determining the total required amt. of the air to be blown from the relation between the detected DO value and standard DO value and supplying the air from different points into the tank in such a manner that the total amt. of the air to be blown increases toward the down stream side. CONSTITUTION:The DO in the lowermost stream area of the piston flow type aeration tank 1 is detected by a DO sensor 8 in the stage of nitrifying and denitrifying the org. sludge by using said tank 1. The total required amt. of the air to be blown per unit time is determined from the relation between the detected DO value and standard DO value and the air is distributed to different >=2 points and is supplied into the tank in such a manner that the total amt. of the air to be blown increases toward the down stream side. The adequate supply of the air to each area in the aeration tank is thus made possible and the DO concn. distribution equal to or approximate to the ideal pattern can be formed in the tank. As a result, the nitrification and denitrification reaction is thoroughly progressed and the N removal rate is drastically increased.
