ION-WIND ELECTROSTATIC AIR CLEANER

PURPOSE:To obtain the titled safe and widely applicable air cleaner without necessitating an earth terminal by making the shell of the main body of a synthetic resin and providing a foolproof mechanism on safety to the part operated by the user. CONSTITUTION:In an ion-wind electrostatic air cleaner for household, business or automobile, the part constituting a main body case 10, an air suction port 11, an air discharge port 12 and a lid body 20 is formed with an insulating body such as a plastic material. A clearance is formed between grid bodies 11 and 12 and a metallic grid body 23 and a prefilter 26 to increase the opening degree and to reduce the pressure drop and the metallic part is never touched by the hand from the outside. The metallic grid bodies 23 are respectively connected to the earth side of the electric power source 30. The connection to the outside earth is thus dispensed with and the cleaner can be safely used even by the user weak in the operating knowledge.
