PURPOSE:To reduce the sliding resistance of the inner periphery of a roller and prevent the abrasion of the roller by making the friction factor of the inner periphery of the roller of a rolling piston compressor smaller than that of its outer periphery. CONSTITUTION:The roller 11 of a rolling piston compressor is formed extremely hard by quench-processing a casting, and a cylindrical bush 15 made of an aluminum-impregnated carbon material and having a small friction factor is inserted in its inner periphery. Accordingly, the friction factor of the inner periphery of the roller having a higher sliding speed can be made smaller than that of the outer periphery, thus the abrasion of the roller is prevented and its durability is also improved.
