<p>PURPOSE:To automate the movement of a magnetic tape by running a magnetic tape at high speed when a destination of a destination input means differs largely from a prescribed value in a position memory and switching the tape running when the difference between the output of a running counter and the destination is a prescribed value or below. CONSTITUTION:A tape running control circuit 16 calculates a difference between an output of a destination input means 17 and the sum of outputs of a position memory 14 and the running counter 15 and when the difference is larger than a preset value, a current of a solenoid 13 is cut off to detach a pinch roller 20 from a capstan shaft 19, a command is sent to a reel control circuit 11 to allow a reel motor 7 or 8 to feed the tape at high speed. When the difference between the output of the means 17 and the sum of outputs of the memory 14b and the counter 15 is smaller than a preset value, the speed is switched into low constant running via the relay control circuit 11. Thus, no unnecessary fixed head is given and the movement of the tape to the desired tape position is automated.</p> |
