PURPOSE:To obtain a print of a high resolution by specifying a direction of a magnetic field in which a magnetized pattern is generated, and a direction of a developing magnetic field. CONSTITUTION:A magnetized pattern of one direction having at least two magnetization transition area is formed in a black image area of one dot on a recording medium, and not only said magnetized pattern of one direction but also a magnetized pattern of the other direction of at least one piece is formed in a black image area of 2 dots or more. Also, in a white image area on the recording medium, a magnetized pattern of the other direction which is longer than the magnetized pattern of the black area is formed, and also, the direction of the developing magnetic field is set to the same direction of said other direction. In this way, an aerial generated magnetic field made by a magnetized pattern 102a for realizing black and a developing magnetic field 38 are opposite as to directions, therefore, a toner attracting force of this part is weakened. Subsequently, an aerial generated magnetic field 110b made by a magnetized pattern 101b for realizing white and the developing magnetic field 38 are the same as to directions, therefore, the toner attracting force of this part is strengthened, and a toner is adsorbed.
