PURPOSE:To lift up a caisson and install it on a shallow sea bottom mound, by a method wherein a support rod is mounted to the upper part of a caisson in a manner to be protruded from both sides of the caisson, and the projection part of a support rod is supported from below by means of buoyant bodies. CONSTITUTION:A support rod 16 is inserted into hang metals 11 on the upper surface of a caisson 10 floating on a sea surface L, and the ends of the support rod 16 are protruded from both ends of the caisson 10. Buoyant bodies 12, slightly sunk through pouring of ballast, are moved to a position right under the support rod 16, and the ballast is drained from the buoyant body 12 for floating. In this case, a support metal 15 of the buoyant body 12 is forced into contact with the support rod 16 and supports it from below, and the caisson 10 is gradually lifted up. With this, the caisson 10 is moved to a sea bottom mount 17, the caisson is sunk by pouring the ballast into the buoyant bodies 12, and the buoyant bodies 12 and the support rod 16 are removed. This enables the caisson 10 to be mounted even to a shallow mound. |
