<p>The invention provides insecticidal and especially pediculocidal compositions comprising a quaternary ammonium compound of the general formula I <CHEM> wherein each of R1, R2, R3 and R4 may be the same or different and are each individually selected from the group consisting of a C1-C20 alkyl group or a benzyl group or wherein R2, R3 and R4 are combined with the N to which they are attached to form an optionally substituted pyridine or quinoline group and X is halogen.</p> |
