PURPOSE:To manufacture a high strength Cu alloy having high heat resistance by adding specified amounts of Fe, Sn and P to Cu and age-precipitating uniformly the Fe in the structure. CONSTITUTION:The composition of a Cu alloy ingot is composed of 1.5-3wt% Fe, 0.8-2.5wt% Sn, 0.005-0.1wt% P and the balance Cu with inevitable impuri ties. The Cu alloy ingot is heated to 880-990 deg.C and hot worked. The hot worked material is cooled from >=780 deg.C at >=20 deg.C/sec cooling rate, cold worked, aged, and cold worked again. The Fe is uniformly age-precipitated in the struc ture.
