PURPOSE:The titled cosmetic having improved emulsifying properties, shelf stability, good touch, moisture retention, utility, and appearance, using a specific mono-o-acyl-3-glycerylphosphorylethanolamine as an emulsifying agent, comprising an oily substance and water. CONSTITUTION:An oily substance (10-80wt%) and water are emulsified by the use of about 0.01-10wt% at least one mono-o-acyl-3-@.glycerylphos phorylethanolamine selected from 1-palmitoyl-3-glycerylphosphorylethanolamine, 2-palmitoyl-3-glycerylphosphorylethanolamine, 1-stearoyl-3- glycerylphosphorylethanolamine, and 2-stearoyl-3-glycerylphosphorylethanolamine, to give an emulsion type cosmetic.
