PURPOSE:To facilitate the removal of grilled food from the upper griddle by connecting the upper and lower griddles with a connecting rod and also connecting the door and said connecting rod with an open-close rod so as to pull out the front end of the upper and lower griddles about the same position when the door is opened. CONSTITUTION:The connecting rod 26 is generally of an L-shape, and connects the upper and lower griddles 18, 19. The upper and lower griddles 18, 19 simultaneously slide forward by means of the open-close rod 30 and connecting rod 26, and their upper and lower supports 20, 21 are so constructed as to engage the open ends 16a, 17a of the upper and lower sliding grooves 16, 17 to permit the front end of the upper and lower griddles 18, 19 to be pulled forward nearly to the same plane. The lower sliding groove 17 extends slightly longer to the near side than the upper sliding groove 16, and the connection of the lower support 21 to the lower griddle 19 is positioned slightly more toward the near side than that of the upper connection. By such a constitution, the upper and lower griddles 18, 19 are pulled out nearly to the same plane when the door 5 is opened to allow an easy removal of grilled food from the respective griddles even when the oven toaster is placed on the top of a tall item. |
