PURPOSE:To manufacture a photoreceptive member suitable for image formation with interferential monochromatic light under easy control by making the distribution of Ge atoms in the 1st layer ununiform in the thickness directon of the layer and by incorporatig a conductivity controlling substance into at least one of the 1st and the 2nd layers so that it is ununiformly distributed in the thickness direction of the layer. CONSTITUTION:When the interface 703 between the 1st layer 701 and the 2nd layer 702 and the free surface 704 of the 2nd layer 702 are not parallel to each other, reflected light R1 and emitted light R3 resulting from incident light I0 are different from each other in forward direction as shown in figure A, so the degree of interference is reduced as compared with a case where the interface 703 and the surface 704 are parallel to each other in figure B. Accordingly, even when interference is caused, the difference between light and darkness in the interference fringe pattern is made negligibly smaller in the case A than in the case B as shown in figure C. As a result, the quantity of incident light in a small part is made uniform. |
