PURPOSE:To obtain the titled vibration-damping material having light weight and high performance, by using an emulsion-polymerized polyvinyl chloride resin (PVC) as a matrix resin, adding a plasticizer, a foaming agent and a reinforcing filler to the matrix, and foaming the mixture at a specific expansion ratio. CONSTITUTION:The objective vibration-damping material is produced by using (A) an emulsion-polymerized PVC as the matrix resin, mixing the resin A with (B) a plasticizer (e.g. phthalate plasticizer), (C) a foaming agent (e.g. azodicarbonamide) and (D) preferably 30-200pts.(wt.) (based on 100pts. of A) of a refincorcing filler (e.g. glass fiber, preferably fibrous or flaky filler), and foaming the mixture at an expansion ratio of 1.5-3.5.
