PURPOSE:To produce the titled composition having improved scorch resistance, by adding a reinforcing agent and/or a filler having a pH adjusted to a specific range to a crosslinkable composition containing a halogen-containing rubber, a triazine trithiol as a crosslinking agent, and an acid acceptor. CONSTITUTION:A crosslinkable composition containing a halogen-containing rubber, a triazine trithiol as a crosslinking agent, and an acid acceptor (e.g. zinc oxide, magnesium oxide, etc.) is added with a reinforcing agent (e.g. carbon black, white carbon, etc.) and/or a filler (e.g. celite, talc, calcium metasilicate, etc.) having a pH adjusted to 2-7, preferably 3-6. The control of the pH of the reinforcing agent and/or filler can be carried out by the graft polymerizatiuon of a vinyl monomer (e.g. acrylic acid) or by the addition of 1-10(wt)%, preferably 2-6% buffering agent (e.g. calcium carbonate) based on the rubber.
