PURPOSE:To produce fine powder of a dielectric material having high purity and uniform particle size, by mixing a metal (compound) powder selected from Pb, Mn, Ba and Sr to Nb-containing powder or metallic oxide powder produced by coprecipitation method, and calcining the powdery mixture. CONSTITUTION:An acidic solution containing Nb ion is made to react with metallic Mn, and added with a precipitant (e.g. ammonia water) at >=5.5pH. The produced precipitate is calcined at 450-1,200 deg.C to obtain Nb-containing powder. Separately, an acidic solution containing metallic ion selected from Zr, Ti, Mn, Ba and Sr is made to react with a precipitant at >=4pH, and the produced precipitate is washed, and calcined at 450-1,200 deg.C to obtain powder of metal oxide. At least one of the above powdery components is mixed with metal (compound) powder selected from Pb, Mn, Ba and Sr, and the mixture is calcined at 600-1,000 deg.C to obtain the objective fine powder of dielectric material. |
