PURPOSE:To obtain an optical pickup for optical disk which can obtain an error signal for accurate focusing and is free from the offset of a tracking error signal produced at a part of the return light, by setting a microlens at the front side of a polarizing prism serving as an optical path separating means. CONSTITUTION:The light delivered from a light source 4 is reflected on the surface of an information recording medium 1 via a polarized beam splitter 2 and made incident again on a polarized beam splitter 2. Then the light is reflected on the reflecting surface of the splitter 2 and made incident on a ditector 3. Here the light of the source 4 is partly deflected by a microlens 5 and reflected on the surface of the medium 1 in the form of a focus error detecting beam. This reflected light is made incident on the detector 3. |
