PURPOSE:To obtain a picture having high quality by providing a movable frame that can be protruded and retracted from a least one side out of four sides of a platen glass and having the function of reflecting light on the upper face of a platen glass plate. CONSTITUTION:For instance, an original 10 having relative thickness is placed on the specified position of the platen glass 11 and the movable frame 14 is slid to conform it with the original 10. Because of the thickness of the original 10, copying action is started with a platen cover at a semiclosed state. Even when an exposure lamp is irradiated, the rays of light are reflected by the movable frame 14 and the leakage of light hardly take place. Thus, a solid black is hardly developed, and a high quality picture can be obtained.
