<p>PURPOSE:To detect accurately the position of a magnetic tape without separating the tape from a fixed magnetic head when a drive mode is changed, by actuating the 1st tape path forming means in response to the 2nd tape path forming means including a tape lead-out post. CONSTITUTION:When a cam gear 30 is revolved up to a revolving angle corresponding to a stop mode, a switch is actuated to stop the drive of a motor. Thus the 2nd tape path is formed. Here a tape lead-out pin 17 leads a magnetic tape 2 out of a cassette 1 to secure a stable contact between the tape 2 and a fixed magnetic head 16 at a larger contact angle than that obtained in the record/reproduction mode. An arm 26 is held stably with the counterclockwise force of a spring 27 and a contact between a projected part 29 and a pressure cam 37. Then a switch is actuated with push of a fast wind button, and the tape path drives the tape 2 at a high speed by a reel drive mechanism. The tape drive is usually unstable in a high-speed drive mode compared with the record/reproduction mode. Here the tape 2 has a large contact area with the head 16 by means of the pin 17 and therefore the stable detection of signals is secured even in the high-speed drive mode.</p> |
