PURPOSE:To reduce tendency of forming an uneven image by heating an image- forming material in the presence of a specified compd. CONSTITUTION:The image-forming material is heated in the presence of the compd. represented by formula I in which R<1> is one of groups of formulae (A), (B), and (C); R<11>, R<12> are each optionally substd. alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, aralkyl, aryl, heterocyclic, alkyloxy, aryloxy, aralkylthio, arylthio, or amino. Proper heating temps. are about 50-250 deg.C, and since said compd. gradually releases a development inhibitor at the time of heat development, it can stop development without lowering image density, and the addition of said compd. permits a large amt. of development inhibitor to be released at the part of high temp. and the limit of image density to be obtained is restrained, and accordingly, uneven image density to be decreased.
