<p>The mechanism sorts items according to size and comprises a frame with transport track through which they drop via openings. The track is formed by a series of bars or rollers (9) coupled to the links or pins of a conveyor chain, while the successive pins of the chain work alternately in the lower and upper guides (2,3). The distance between these guides decreases in the transport direction. Initially the links (5) are folded together and are then extended, thus progressively increasing the gaps (13) between the bars (9).</p> |
