Expansion tank device for water accumulator system or boiler that is relieved of water pressure other than its own water filling pressure. It is unique in that the expansion tank (7) and the water level with varying temperature are wholly or partially situated below the water-filled top of the accumulator or boiler by the use of a specific vacuum effect. For this purpose, the expansion tank with airtight line connection (8), which discharges under the water surface in the expansion tank, is connected to the top of the accumulator or boiler and has an outlet to atmospheric air (11) that is situated higher than the top of the accumulator or boiler. When the heating system cools, a vacuum causes the water to be sucked in from the expansion tank so that the accumulator or boiler is kept full of water at all times.<IMAGE> |
