The tennis racquet with plastics or catgut strings includes spaced semi-cylindrical grooves in the frame edges, in which the strings are guided and secured. - Semi-cylindrical grooves in the edge of e.g. a carbon fibre or plastics racquet frame are moulded or pressed in.. The grooves may be pressed in at e.g. right angles to the frame surface, or alternatively diagonally to the frame surface.
