PURPOSE:To enable correct positioning avoiding eccentricity by providing a polished end face between places positioned to respective center by groups of positioning balls of front and rear stages. CONSTITUTION:The tip of an optical fiber 2 is positioned to the center of group of a set of three positioning balls arranged in plural stages along longitudinal direction in the small diameter part 1A of a mold frame 1. Molding is made by injecting resin into the frame 1. After hardening and releasing, polishing is made parallel to a plane 7 to make a position between planes 6, 7 formed by centers of groups of positioning balls of adjoining front and rear stages an end face of polishing. As tops of positioning balls 3 of front and rear stages are exposed in the position between planes 6, 7, the position of the end face of polishing 8 is determined between preceding and succeeding tops. Thus, a light connector plug correctly positioned and free from eccentricity can be obtained. |
