PURPOSE:To execute a unitary management of a document by exchanging only an index card, by accumulating separately the index card and the document. CONSTITUTION:A data from a keyboard 1 or a floppy disk 2 is inputted to a processing part 6 through an interface 3 or 4, and a controller 5. A file group 8 accumulates a document which is exchanged with the processing part 6 through an interface 7. An indication to a user and the contents of the document are displayed by a CRT9, and the contents of the document are printed by a printer 10. The file group 8 is constituted of a communication sentence file 8-1 for accumulating a distributed document, an index card file 8-2 for accumulat ing an index card, and a document, an index card file 8-2 for accumulating an index card, and a document file 8-3 for accumulating the document.
