Arrangement comprises a split true plate which supports motors and gears. There drive wheels which in turn drive toothed belt to move the chair up the stairs. The arrangement also has a U-shaped tube and support arms, at the bottom of the stairs, there are interlocked into parts of the wheelchair. Where the belts touch the plate, it is covered with a low friction material e.g. Teflon.
